❤️Today and every day, we extend our deepest gratitude to all the Veterans in our community. Your service, courage, and sacrifices remind us what true dedication looks like. We are so thankful to have so many Veterans join us each year for our Veterans Day assembly — one of our most meaningful and cherished traditions. It’s a day we look forward to, as we come together to honor the heroes who have given so much for our country.
🤍A special thank-you goes out to United States Marine Corps Master Sergeant Retired Kosinski, who dedicates his time each fall to train our student flag custodians. Through his guidance, our students learn not only how to properly fold, raise, and lower the flag each day, but also the deep respect and meaning behind those actions.
💙We are also honored to have Master Sergeant Kosinski take part in our Veterans Day assembly each year — leading the ringing of the bell and the presentation of arms. These powerful moments remind us of the immense gratitude we hold for all who have served in the Armed Forces.

One person who truly stands out is Tommy Westrick. You’ll find him at nearly every event where Summerfield students are — whether we’re at home in Petersburg or on the road. Tommy spends countless hours taking and editing amazing photos of our students and community, and then generously shares his high-quality images for free.
