Our drivers will be reaching out to families who live on our rural routes to communicate modified pick up plans if necessary.

What's the plan for Tuesday morning? Great question! Any decision regarding school on Tuesday will be made tomorrow morning. It may be -15° or colder, drifting is always possible, and we're continuing to monitor the conditions of our back roads. Our goal is to always make the call at or before 5:30am!

Due to unsafe road conditions, Summerfield Schools will be closed on Monday, January 26th.
All sub–high school events are canceled for the day. A decision regarding high school practices and events will be shared by 1:00 p.m. tomorrow.

Congratulations to Summerfield art students Chloe Gonzalez and Nick Perez! Their pieces will be displayed as a part of the 2026 "Passages" juried high school art show at the Walter E. Terhune Art Gallery inside the Owens Community College Center for Fine and Performing Arts. The exhibit will be open from January 30-March 20. Additionally, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive merit awards good for tuition at OCC. 🧡🖤✏️


Summerfield Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 due to hazardous road conditions and the expected wind chill Tuesday morning.
Exams scheduled for Tuesday will now be given on Wednesday, January 21st.
High school students enrolled in in-person classes with Monroe County Community College, which begin on Tuesday, should check their college email for status updates.
A decision regarding high school athletic events will be made by 2:00pm tomorrow.
